Don't let her fool you...

What?! This little princess? Our sweet, dainty, girly-girl with the prettiest little smile, and dimples to make you melt? She's almost perfect in every way!!...hmmm...looks can be deceiving... She's into everything!! Opening every cupboard (before I put the locks on them!), dumping out the dog dish (constantly), finding every morsel of food (or worse) in the couch and immediately stuffing it in her mouth...and now? She's learned to open the front door by herself...great... Note to self: check the lock repeatedly through out the day!!

I somehow had this vision of an angelic, sugar-coated little girl who would be perfectly content to sit on the floor day after day, reading her fairy books and combing her dollies' hair...and did I mention, quietly? Oh no, she's as sassy and opinionated as they come! Her favorite words are, "NO!", "GO!", and my personal favorite, "HEY!!!". Welcome to toddler hood. I still say on a scale of one to 10 her oldest brother has her beat in the "kids-at-this-age-who'll-probably-need-therapy" category...Only by the grace of God did he out grow this toddler phase and morph into one of the nicest, most obedient, gotta-love-him kids I know. But we were really worried for awhile...I think everyone was. And since my happy-go-lucky middle child never caused us much grief (except in the "Truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth" category...we're still working on that one...) I was just sure that a girl would be the easiest one of all! Who says that genetics are the determining factor?? Talk about head strong..."Get's that from her mother", her Daddy would say...

Today actually started out pretty well...Trent spent the night so the boys were happy; and they are ever so gracious to let little sis tag along and stay totally entertained. Temper tantrums were at a minimum and except for the ever present conversations involving the theme "wieners", all is well. What is it about boys and their members? Why so much intrigue and pride regarding this particular section of the human body? And better yet, Why don't they ever out grow it??? I certainly hope that when I am 80 years old, I am still not having to listen to the same jokes and conversations from all of the wonderful men in my life, regarding their dangling participle... Any way, yes, today was good...until I walked into my potty room (which we now share with our cat, Savannah), and was immediately ready to lose my breakfast. The girl's been at it again...why does she choose this room in the house?? There's nothing of interest there...well, I guess if you're Shelbi there is. Another binky in the trash. I just hope she didn't double dip...

At least she didn't try to bury it :) And what goes around, comes around. Hee-hee-hee-hee!

I guess the thing you can be glad about is that she left evidence of where she was? Right? I can't laugh, though, because I know those days aren't far off at our house!
