It always starts out so fun...But being the princess is hard work!!

On our list of best Halloweens ever this one makes the top. We started the festivities at the beginning of the week with our homeschooling friends...party at Auntie Mel's! Lots of junk food and dress up fun. On Halloween night, after much deliberations on just how we would spend the occasion, some frieds ended up coming over and we trick-or-treated until our feet hurt! Boy did Shelbi think that was pretty fabulous ."What, you mean all I have to do is walk up to some one's front door looking so totally cute, smile and say 'Hi!', and they give me handfuls of candy?! Sweet!". At least, that's what she was thinking I'm just sure of it... She really played up that role. Everyone that answered their door immediately called their spouses over... "Hal! Come quick! You've just got to see this!... She's the cutest thing!" And her brothers, knowing nothing of chivalry yet, were off to the next house before sister had even climbed up the

front step...! They are, after all, trick-or-treating pros by now...

I love Halloween. It was one of my favorite times as a kid. Not the gory yucky stuff... and I'm not one for the witches and all the dead people...but the silliness of it all, and fun dress up... it's priceless. And the only thing better than the memories I have as a kid, are the ones we're making with our own...

Q. How come witches don't have babies?

A. Because their husbands have hallow weenies!! Ha Ha...!!
