Life's a beach...

What a great day!! We haven't been to the beach to play in forever, and I could hear it just beckoning me! Of course, I always forget how dirty it is...let's just say that if Shelbi was low on any of her minerals, the deficiency is no more. She probably ingested enough sand today to last her a life time...But it was fantastic. We played catch on the beach, threw rocks in the water, hopped over waves (my favorite!) and enjoyed the beautiful serenity of it all. My idea of the perfect picnic on the beach was quickly busted, as we had grubby little sand filled fingers reaching into the chip and Oreo bags, but was tasty none the less...It was also a bit colder than I'd hoped, but we lived. Very fun time. And after we were beached out, I even managed to sneak in a short trip to the Camarillo Outlets while daddy took the boys to the movies. That place is a shoppers paradise. Two hours is about as fulfilling as two oreos, but I made it to the Gap at least...oh, and Gymboree. That one is dangerous...the bargains are killer. Bathing suits for $5.99??? Who can resist??? So, one for this year (to add to her collection...thanks Heather :) and one for next...could have been worse...All in all a very full day. And, it just so happened that Grammie Care and Papa Guy were near by for a wedding, so the kids were thrilled to meet up with them for dinner. Yep, the perfect little day trip...I'm ready to go back!!!
